Ahmet, I disagree with your assessment and agree with Lodesman's. The drawing shows boat B on starboard. The "error" of discontinuity on the mast is not an error, it is clearly meant to show the spinnaker pole, not the boom, and is projected to the stbd side, hence on starboard gybe, etc etc. It is, after all, a drawing, not a photo, but I've been looking at spinnaker boats on converging courses for over 50 years and I instantly recognized that this drawing was meant to show a boat on starboard because it looks exactly like what I have seen an infinite number of times previously. I trust my brain's pattern recognition over faulty logic.

But I agree with your comment about climate change
