Re: USCG registration question

Email Cardiff and provide a scan of your bill of sale , there is a charge

part1.registry@mcga.gov.uk

They will send you a scan within 48 hours and mail out an official transcript thereafter

Re: USCG registration question

There are many threads on this issue. Your bill of sale will need an apostile or notarization.
The apostille is particular to ex-us purchases.

Search the forum for that word and you will find the threads.
There is also a lot of speculation and noise in the threads. Pay attention to the posters who have actually USCG documented a boat that was in foreign registry.
Good luck.
The NVDC is helpful.
I used a documentation service to do this for me. It cost 600USD a few years back. Worth it.

Make sure you are using an up to date version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you are using a browser based reader, or the preview app on a Mac, it probably won't work.

Pre-covid, when I emailed them they got back to me the same day. When I called them, a knowledgeable person answered the phone, with no voicemail or hold times.
