UPDATE: Team Changes

I wanted to let everyone know about some changes that have been made to our Mod and Admin team.
First and foremost I wanted to post a HUGE Thank You to Mr. Alan Wheeler who is our top poster and has been a member since December 2003. Alan volunteered a tremendous amount of time to help make Cruisers Forum the amazing community it is today. Alan was an Administrator for 2.5 years and has stepped down to enjoy the free life of posting with the members. Alan, your contributions to the Cruiser Community have not gone unnoticed and you deserve a round of applause from everyone for your help here over the years!

In order to fill the big shoes that were left with Alan's departure I am pleased to announce that we have 4 new moderators joining the team (yes, we have some multihullers now). Please welcome David M, Ex-Calif, FrankZ, Steve Rust to our team! Lastly, Hud3 has been promoted to an Administrator.

Keeping the peace here on Cruisers Forum can be a very stressful and thankless job sometimes so please help us keep this amazing resource going by following our Community Rules.

Wheels,

You will enjoy the new found freedom. I had to do the same thing, if you recall. It was quite uplifting!

Many thanks wheels - you really helped me get into the groove here when I first arrived. You deserve a break!

(only 2 years, 4 months, 3 weeks, 4 days..... to go for me...)

I've done my share of forum administration over the years, and it becomes SO MUCH more work than one thinks. It's only after you "step down" that you realize how much work it really was!

I'd suggest you give him an honorary title - maybe "Former Administrator"?

When I first came across CF I was amazed at the global breadth and depth of experience selflessly offered by members and, especially, all the Mods.

Wheels, you should be called Dr. Wheels as you are a true teacher. I am only sorry that you are not closer as I would love the opportunity to break bread and sample some of New Zealand's finest wines together. Many thanks and all the best.

Congratulations to everyone in their new appointments I am sure that you will make a great contribution going forward. To Alan Wheeler I would like to restate something I posted in a thread regarding Stereo Questions, but quite simply would cover the plethora of subjects, you contributed to and I enjoyed reading… I quote

“Brilliant thread gentlemen...Excellent questions and expert in-depth answers. I do so love learning from someone with an infinite greater expertise, joy and enthusiasm of their subject.”

I am glad to see that these qualities will not be totally lost to the Forum

Regards

Alan

A superannuated Administrator, like Wheels, might be titled “Admin’ EMERITUS"; but past glories notwithstanding, Alan's contributions (and reputation) continue as a recognized expert in several fields.

Congratulations to you all and I think one of the best appointments was to promote Hud to administrator, he will do a fine job for all us from Nevis
