Boat Storage in Central Florida (Atlantic)

Can anyone recommend somewhere to store my 30' sailboat in the general vicinity of Melbourne, FL, long-term. Looks like things are changing FAST and I may not be doing what I had thought I'd be doing -- cruising -- these next several months. I might need to leave the boat for 6 months or even, gulp, a year.

I've never had a boat in hurricane zone before, so what's better? In the water or out?

I appreciate recommendations, first-person experiences, whatever. Boy, I have a lot to learn and a lot to do right away! Thanks for any help you can offer.

blessings,
Rebecca

Indian town is not too far, and I was just through there and was really impressed with the way they have fixed it up.

Thank you! The only Indian Town I know is pretty far inland. Can you tell me a bit more, please? We must not be thinking of the same place.

Yes, we probably are. It is the first real stop on the East side of the lake. It is a day's journey from Manatee Pocket / St. Lucie.

If you are leaving the boat for a year, I would think it would be worth it to head inland from where you are for both cost and hurricane protection.
