Marina-Bradenton, FL

Anyone have a recommendation for a slip (LOA=30ft) in Bradenton? Costs? Amenities?
Thanks,

Sail? Liveaboard?

If sail and liveaboard there are basically two. Twin Dolphins in Bradenton and Regatta in Palmetto (right across the river).

We are in Twin Dolphins and like it here. It is a nice marina and well maintained. Plus it is right downtown with plenty to do. The marina has mostly floating docks although there are some that are fixed for a cheaper rate. The marina has 6 nicely appointed and maintained shower rooms (although we shower on board), a very nice swimming pool and hot tub, free grills to use, pump out at the docks, a fuel dock, and a 15% discount card to the restaurant for annual members.

The area is well protected and is a great sailing area with lots to visit. We use this as our staging area to make money and then leave to cruise.

Is twin dolphins next to the museum? We visited there in May. We're part-time liveaboards. Can u give an estimated monthly cost?
Thanks

Depends how much you liveaboard since they charge for that.

I think we are paying $12 per foot, $50 electric and dock fee, plus $200 for liveaboard ($150 for first person and $50 for each thereafter). So for us around $650 per month.

Not the cheapest marina, but probably one of the nicest ones we stay in. There are quite a few liveaboards here and it is a nice environment to be part of.

Yes it is next to the S. Florida Museum.

I kept my boat at Twin Dolphins for a year. Great place--highly recommend it.

I kept a boat there for a while, nice marina. Only complaint was the growth on the bottom due to the brackish water. Divers on the docks almost every day cleaning bottoms. A lot of folks had scheduled cleanings set up like once a month.
