Middle East Marinas and Moorings

Hi All.

Can anyone offer any info on Marinas and Moorings in the Middle East. Of particular interest is the UAE and Qatar. Iran also.

In Kuwait City, the marina and the surrounding area at Hawally is very nice, but the marina at Marina Mall is much more centrally located and is very nice also.

You have named three very different areas. The Middle East is quite varied in terms of cultures and security. In the UAE, there are many nice marinas in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharja, with more being built at an astonishing pace. In Abu Dhabi, the marinas at Marina Mall and the Intercontinental Hotel are fine. Your challenge may lie in finding a slip, as this is not a customary cruising area for transient foreign sailors and the marinas are quite full. You are also competing for space with wealthy and well-connected locals.
