FWIW, that's not my experience. I'm prior service, but eventual retirement was DoD... and we have always fallen lower than whale-$(p)it in the MWR priority scheme. Which is OK by me.

Hi gittist, I can't speak of the military facilities, But I can point out that across the "street" from Rock Hall is Swan Creek. Very nice facilities, especially if your draft is 6 ft or below...although they do have deeper keels there. An additional benefit is that if you decide to make your boat available for charter, one of the best and most popular charter companies on the Chesapeake is located there, Haven Charters. Jacki and Dave are among the best.
