Southwest Florida Marina

Hi all. I'm taking delivery of a new catamaran (mast height 65 feet) in a few weeks and I am looking for a marina on the gulf side in the Naples/Marco Island area. After making several calls it seems that many of them can accommodate my boat. I would ask for some help in narrowing down my search. Can anyone make a reccomendation pro or con for a marina in this area. The admiral is a bit spoiled and would like the best amenties, i.e pool and restaurant and close beach for when I'm working to pay the bills and she's relaxing in Florida!

She thinks that I cost more than her. She's probably right. We make jokes about the cost of a woman but in the end my toys always seem more expensive. Back to the subject. Southwest Florida Marinas anyone?

Several up Capri Pass... Factory Bay area; short trip and no bridges to big water. Naples is too far from the Gulf (IMHO)

OK, seriously, I was researching the same.

Here are some I came up with that may fit your requirements:

Amenities

Features | Pasadena Marina St Petersburg Florida

The Tampa Bay area seems to have extensive marine facilities.

Re: Southwest Florida Marina

Esplanade on Marco is probably the closest to what you are looking for, and the Marina at Factory Bay is probably second, except neither have a pool for marina use. Both do have condos which have a pool, maybe you could befriend a local and use the pool as their guest. Esplanade is a little further from the Gulf, but there are probably 25 restaurants within walking distance, 4 or 5 nice ones on-site including Starbucks & Cold Stone Creamery and even a nice open air bar right next to the dock. Winn-Dixie/McDonalds across the street and plenty of shops that will take your $$.

Esplanade is much more protected than Factory Bay.

Esplanade Marina marco Island Florida

The Marina at Factory Bay - Marco Island, Florida

I'm not sure if any of the Naples marinas have pools.
