St. Martin marina suggestions

Any suggestion for a more economical marina here?

Been there once, didn't sail though. Dutch side was way more fun, noticeably more friendly too.

Cheapest is Lagoon Marina about $1 per foot.

Best deal is at the best marina IGY Simpson Bay Marina one month for a 39 foot boat is $30 per day.

We are heading there later this year from the Med to buy a dink and engine. What is the favoured anchorage ??

I like Simpson Bay because I can swim each day, snorkeling is good and its close to everything. But it costs $20 per week.

Everyone else likes being in the lagoon on the french side, where you cant swim, a long dinghy ride to anywhere but its free.
