Anchoring Out in SC

Does anyone know of any good spots to anchor out and enjoy a weekend in SC? I was looking at Otter Island, near Edisto, but I don't see any good anchorages and it looks like the water around it is pretty shallow. I draw 5'6" and don't think I can get close enough in to safely anchor up. So does anyone have any ideas?

There are literally thousands of places to anchor in South Carolina. It depends on where you will be traveling. You will need a good set of up to date charts. Chuck

take a look at the Activecaptain.com web site. They have a number of anchorages listed near Edisto. Free to join and very very useful.
