Annapolis Boat Show

How hard is it to anchor out somewhere reasonably close dinghy ride for the boat show">Annapolis boat show. I was thinking about trying. At this late I think slips will be scarce.

Re: annapolis boat show

Spa Creek, Back Creek and Weems Creek will probably be impossible. But Lake Ogleton (south of Back Creek and Chesapeake Harbor) has lots of room. It is about a 3 mile dinghy run to the show, ok in calmish conditions, but a wet ride in any chop.

Re: Annapolis Boat Show

Weems always had lots of room when we were there, and it is a short walk to the stadium where the free buses take you right to the show.

Pretty straight forward as long as you get here early enough.

There is good space up Back Creek, Weems Creek, and Spa Creek. South Anchorage is actually my favorite but much of it is deep so you'll want good tackle and plenty of rode.

If you let me know when you're coming I'll stick my head up and give you an assessment of how Back Creek looks for space.

If you're an SSCA member I'll drive over and check out the other anchorages for you as well.

There is definitely room for you here at the show.
