Re: Best Cruiser Bars Around the World ?

I'd like to mention de Big Fish in Prickly Bay Grenada. A true cruisers bar, with good food, great service, regular live entertainment, catering truly to cruisers, with some locals showing up now and again. Rick and Kim run it - great people. Calliloo pizza!

I like Foxy's in Jost Van Dyke, but just can't call it a cruisers bar. It is for tourists/charterers, but can be fun for the occasional cruiser.

I forgot about "the Dawg." What about "Whisky Bar" in Kodiak?

The old Soggy Dollar at Sint Maarten used to be great. Things would get just a little wild there with crazy drinking obstacle courses thru the rafters. All shiny and very different these days.

That's pretty much on my top ten things not to do when I'm in my cups.

Has Piper Lover's Cruiser Bar in Barra de Navidad been mentioned. The Sands in Barra as well. Canucks in Mazatlan was a good one. I don't know if the new ownership has changed it.

Hummingbird Pub, Montague Harbour, Galiano Island, BC.

Wait up along the road above Montague Harbour Marina by the signs and the Pub Bus comes along top of each hour to give you a free ride to the pub & back.

Enjoy the tunes on the Ride!

There's quite a few tourists, so maybe it doesn't classify as the quintessential cruisers bar, but ya gotta admit, it is one hell of a dinghy dock! I will buy you a beer if you can name this Caribbean island.

Well done, Hummingway!

Bring your dinghy over, tie it up, climb those stairs on the right, find me at the bar and you will see your beer on my immediate left.

If you can correctly name the island, I will make the next one a double rum....

Re: Best Cruiser Bars Around the World ?

Swashbucklers at Westhaven Marina, Auckland, NZ isn't bad.

The Island Bar at Musket Cove in Fiji is pretty damn good too. Say "bula" to Lavinia or to Vasiti when ya visit.
