Kids Cruising in Med Summer 2014

Hey all,

We're heading over to sail around Corsica, west Italy and hopefully get to Albania and Croatia this summer, July to Oct most likely, and just wondering if there are any families going to be around there with children who get bored of adults company! We only came across two other families with children last year and our girls were pretty desperate for some others to hang out with. Our girls are 8 and 11, but pretty friendly and get along with most ages. I promised them we'd be a bit more organised this year...

Cheers!
Lydia

we had exactly that issue when our kids were small. We were always surprised at the lack of children on boats in the med. The french boats always were the best for kids

If you have time, what we found useful was to base yourself somewhere for a few days and get them into dinghy sailing, great way to meet kids, and do some sailing. Mine loved it. Kids can handle the language issues better then adults.!

Teens are a bit more problematic, especially girls, just try and keep them of the wine and out of the bars!!!
