Re: sailing/adventure book

Write it in plaintext, any editor.

Do your layout / formatting using Calibre software, can then export to Kindle, epub, PDF, html+css and more.

Do the chapters one at a time, trial export as you go to all the target formats, in case you find a glitch or two.

Can also send to print-on-demand fulfillment if anyone wants a dead trees version.

Most common for us, the past 30 years, has been in book trades. Some of these books are wibbly with water intrusion.

For new cruisers? I expect e-books probably the best way, although I may stick to paper books for the rest of my time here. I like to hold them and turn pages. Sorry.

Ann

PS. Sunken treasure is good, especially with charts and maplets.
