'Sailing Certificate' for Kids

For those of us who have kids come aboard for a cruise... a few years ago we modified a 'Sailing Certificate' (found on one of the BB's) to award to the youngster at the end of the 'cruise' in recognition for the duties performed on the cruise of exploration and discovery. At first, I thought it to be a somewhat dumb idea, but when awarded with the appropriate ceremony, it becomes a great momento from the trip. I have a downloadable and editiable (MS word) certificate for you to modify and use if desired. It is placed on our website at Untitled Page Enjoy.

Does anyone else have fun type documents or ideas that can also be shared??

Steve

That's a great idea. I framed my son's certificate for passing his opti course. I also have his bubblemaker certificate for his first pool dive. He turns 12 this year and is keen to get Scuba cert.

a first timer's certificate is a cool idea.

We brought 12 kids from his class to his last birthday party and got all 12 kids sailing on thier own in Access dinghys throughout the afternoon. Certificates for that would have been an awesome take away. Wish I had thought of it.

What a great idea Steve! Thanks for the thought here. I did save the certificate and will use it. I just filled three out for our three oldest kids for their passage from Olympia, WA to Winchester bay, OR. I will do the other two for our two youngest for our local sailing also.
Thanks also Gord, for the resource of other printables.
