Hope I haven't already posted this one from a month ago. At the Aquarium, exumas. The current was crazy strong.

Wow! They are stunning. My favourite underwater creatures. The best dive I ever had was snorkelling with these for about an hour (Blue Pearl Bay, Hayman Island, Whitsundays, Australia).

That counts .

Fantastic shots!
I am sitting here smiling looking at them. It is a whole new world underwater.
Thanks for sharing.

Don't worry. These photos are IMHO more remarkable than those of the Oceanic variety, at least to me. Keep 'em coming!

Love this one. Been there many times but never captured the moment. Sweet!

Re: Underwater Photography

I found these pleasing, likely because having a camera, even a cheapie, to take in the water is thrilling me.

Taken at Cala d'Egos, Mallorca with an SJCAM. I've never encountered so many fish swarming around when swimming around the Balearics.

The link above still doesn't do these wonderful animals justice.

I have never seen so many in the Med either! Nice shots. These fish darting around are hard to photograph well.

I am not very good at identifying marine animals, but I think these are Horse Mackerel.

Re: Underwater Photography

Thanks SWL. I find composition impossible with the SJCAM (a Go Pro take off). It's kind of a point in the right direction & shoot, but the angle of view is so great you can capture a lot.

The Spanish call the silver fish dorado, which I think is Sea Bream. You also see lots of them at the fish mongers, typically 8-12" LOA. I have no idea what the brown ones are.

That was a very popular lunch anchorage, and also for tripper boats stopping there, so I maybe the fish were expecting a handout.... I had every intention of spending some time snorkelling around the rocks close behind us, but sighting a few jelly fish made me lose interest.
