Re: 2 blade foldable props

You think that maybe make, model, diameter and pitch might be useful info?

Can you take a photo of the numbers stamped on them?

I’ll have to look. They are not polished so might be problematic.
I’ll check them out tomorrow.

Re: 2 blade foldable props

You can use a tape measure with them open to find diameter.

Are they folding or feathering?
(Do the blades twist out of the way, or do they make a clam shell?)

They fold making a clam shell. If you send me your email, I can send a picture. I don’t have time to spend trying to figure out how to post a picture in this forum
It’s not consumer friendly

Re: 2 blade foldable props

Greetings fellow mariners,

I contacted the OP yesterday and she sent me a couple photos via text message. I will add them here for your viewing pleasure. It appears she has spare blades and fasteners but does not have the hubs or other components to assemble a full prop. I am not very well versed in the brand of prop these blades might fit but I am hoping Fstbttms might know as I am certain he has worked with more props than I have ever seen. She informed me her late husband had sailed offshore solo and she is selling a bunch of spare parts and pieces he had in storage. So be kind as she will most likely not have the detailed specific information you desire.

Safe Journeys and Happy Holidays,
~Jake

I'm not sure what these are. My first guess (based on the type of screws and nuts) would be old Flex-O-Folds. Pix of the hubs would be helpful.

Edit: She is just selling the parts? Not complete props?

Re: 2 blade foldable props

Hello again,

Thank you Fstbtms for the quick response. I web searched some images of Flex-O-Fold and I believe you are spot on with your identification. I knew you would pass the test. I will make future questions more challenging for you so don’t get complacent on me.

Sarcasm aside and to answer your question, Yes, I believe she only has the spare parts pictured. I asked her to text me pics of all the components she had and the two pics I posted are what I received.

Safe Journeys and Happy Holidays to all,
~Jake

Re: 2 blade foldable props

Perhaps she should refrain from attempting to sell misidentified items to avoid confusing prospective purchasers......
