ABI SS Portlights

I have 4 ABI ports. Used Heavy Stainless Steel, in good usable shape. Bought them for my boat, but never installed. I cleaned one up, but the others will need a good cleaning. They will polish up and look nearly new. $200 FOB Pensacola, FL. PM if interested.

Re: ABI SS Portlights

Indicating the dimensions might help prospective purchasers. They won’t last long at this price. Good luck.

Re: ABI SS Portlights

Yes, please include the opening size and the spigot depth, that’s very important in fitting new portlights. Thank you, ~E

While the portlights you have may be of high quality, I’m sad to report the company went out of business maybe a dozen years ago and thus parts and accessories may be hard to reliably come by.

Parts and accessories? I can't think of anything that you couldn't find locally such as glass at any glass shop. Knob with studs and gasket from McMaster-Carr.
BTW...I just bought them.

Re: ABI SS Portlights

That’s a killer deal. I needed spigots of 1 3/4” so I let you grab them. 🤣

If they had been the 7x14’s I would have been interested myself.
I was just clarifying the theory that the website was still active…. It’s just a ghost; looks like you can order, but everything is “out of stock”.
Sounds like you’ve got it handled.
Congratulations, it looks like a good deal!

They must have had a huge rummage sale(or the bank did). I see lots of Ma&Pa marine businesses, from the east coast to the mid west and even here in Northern Ca., that have their items. I would wager they bought gear for .10 cents on the dollar. There is a place called Blue Pelican Marine Consignment in Alameda, Ca. that has shelves upon shelves of ABI gear. So I would imagine the Ma&Pa stores are the same. They certainly jacked up the portlight prices. The ABI ports were pretty well made for a Chinese product.

I have replaced ports on my last two boats with New Found Metal ports. ..both the stainless ones and the hybrid plastic "Matrix" models. Can't say I was impressed with either. I am a Toolmaker by trade, so I always look at quality of thread and efficiency of design. Their methodology of installing them is a little archaic.

These will make a nice addition to my Pearson 365 which has one opening port in the head. If I replace that one, I will use all 4.
