For Sale: Aries Model 5 Liftup Windvane

Strong, accurate, reliable and bulletproof. The engineering, the fit, the finish of the Model 5 Aries is Ferrari-like compared to other wind vanes. Proven European design through many years of competent, successful service. Can be used on boats to 55 feet. Excellent condition. Only used on a few occasions on our 3 year cruising adventure down Mexico and into the Caribbean on a Santana 37 with fin keel and spade rudder. Garage stored since 1993. First time offered for sale.

When motoring or at the dock, to prevent damage to the windvane, the uplift feature of this windvane can be utilized. Using this feature, the entire vane gear can be pivoted upward out of the water like an outboard or totally removed from the subframe in 5 minutes. It can be stored below as a complete unit or can be easily dismantled by hand without tools.

It is offered for sale at $1750, with free delivery in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cost of packaging and shipping outside that area not included in price. Photos available upon request via email.
