hi, I am looking for a spare autohelm 3000 2 wire drive motor unit.

Don't have a motor, but you can replace the little electric motor on the inside with the following: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mabuchi-RS-...-/282166221183

The case unscrews at the red ring. Use a strap wrench to loosen the threads. Then unsolder the old motor and solder in the new motor. May need to install a few small capacitors on the motor. The gear on the old motor is a slip fit and easy to move over to the new motor.

I have a spare from my autohelm 4000, I just upgraded to the evolution. I'll look after work and send a photo. I'm on the west coast.

I do have a spare motor but looking for a spare unit as all those nylon gears are worn

Ah That is a tougher problem. Which reminds me that I need to look for a spare motor unit too soon...
