This Brunton Autoprop was removed in 2019 when my boat was converted to electric propulsion - electric motors apparently are not compatible with folding or feathering props. According to Brunton, this prop is about 22 years old. It was serviced with new bearings and protective 'bottom' paint in 2016. Since servicing I estimate that it had about 300 hours use. One blade has a chip or corrosion damage. 1 inch (25mm) standard taper shaft, Right hand turn; Diameter 14 inches ca.

Sorry to say it but it was sold just a few weeks ago. If you are at all interested I have a used kiwi prop with essentially the same dimensions; that is, it was fitted to the same boat but the mechanism didn't suit my electric motor. It was left in the hands of a friend to try out but I don't believe he has done that. I can ask him if you are interested. Asking US$600 plus shipping.

Some helpful information to those looking to purchase secondhand Autoprop's


Autoprop's are custom built for each installation and therefore unique for the installation it was designed for. Some are interchangeable from boat to boat but not always. Each Autoprop uses a unique serial number which starts with AP. this identifies the model. We we can trace our records for the serial number to see what it was originally designed for. If you looking to purchase a secondhand Autoprop then please contact one of dealers to see if it will work with your combination of engine power and rpm. Also it will need to suit the shaft as well.
