Re: CleanWay Fuel Fill

A solution in search of a problem?

Once a new boater realizes that when he fuels his boat up it is different than his car in that he shouldn't leave the nozzle unattended, he "gets it."

Re: CleanWay Fuel Fill

I found that when refilling with Diesel. Pumping it through a hose sitting all day in the sun 40 feet of hot hose causes an incredible amount of foam, that no amount of nozzle tending can control. I have found that the cleanway helps alot and has worked well for me. I have and use one and it works great. I am not a vendor or stock holder. I purchased mine because I am never lucky enough to get to refill just after a trawler pumped 300 gallons.

Re: CleanWay Fuel Fill

I also like the Cleanway filler device. It took using it maybe twice and I was sold on it. I am not affiliated, etc. just a happy customer. It's not perfect but you can fill your tanks much better with a whole lot less burbing fuel that goes on the deck. We stow ours in our propane locker. Someone who dreads filling their tanks should buy this.

Re: CleanWay Fuel Fill

I don't understand how this prevents an overfill from happening.

Re: CleanWay Fuel Fill

It doesn't. It collects the diesel foam that blows up from the fuel fill hole and allows it to collect back to a liquid and then empties back into the tank. That happens on my boat all the time on hot summer days. 40 feet of hot fuel from that hose on the fueling dock will foam alot..
