Want To Buy: Furuno. RSB 0095 dome

i need a replacement for my existing Furuno radar dome RSB 0095. The display is model 1715.

I have a Furuno 1715 radar. It doesn't work, but I think the problem is in the display, not the radome. Would you be interested?

Just a bit more in the way of disclosure:

Failure symptoms: line graphics and legends appear on the display, but no targets or noise.


I took the radar to a reputable electronics service shop where they replaced the IF board in the radome. This did not fix the problem.


Based on the troubleshooting table in the service manual, the most likely causes (in order of likelihood) are 1) the IF board; 2) the mixer IC (MIC); and 3) the display unit board (DU).



Since the repair shop claimed they replaced the IF board and checked out the MIC, this leaves the DU board (in the display unit).



I chose not to replace it since the cost would have been almost half the price of a new radar. But I can't be certain that there is no problem in the antenna unit, so no guarantees.

I have two Furuno radomes, one condition unknown, the other was ne a few years ago, and never installed. Also have 3 displays that need only screen replaced. I would sell all for $500.

I have a RSB 0055 that works if still interested. Have to check on the displace, see what model it is. If interested in the 0055 just let me know
