Love your Bronze Groco Model K but wish it were electric? Here is a complete 12V conversion - three bolts to install. Easily converted back to manual by removing one linkage bolt. You will need to provide a momentary switch.

$425 plus shipping from San Diego. To purchase new, this is over $1300. The Electric version of the head is $1000 (HERE) more than the manual version which is why this is such a rare part to find.

The Groco Model K is without a doubt the finest manual head still in production and is still the most dependable option for a single-head boat. This US-built head is solid bronze with a 3-inch piston. I purchased this new around 1998 and has been sitting in my storage for the past 15-years so not a lot of use.

I also have a fully rebuilt head (Groco Model K manual) for $225, about $100 more than the the cost of a rebuild kit. Needs new seat ($55 from Defender).
