Isotherm Mod 2013 With Danfoss BD50 Compressor (NEW IN BOX)

This is a completely unused, new in box, never opened except to peek in the side of the box to make sure everything was there, isotherm mod 2013.

You can’t even buy one of these. They are completely out of stock everywhere. This is the only one available.

Lists at $1500. MAP discount at Defender is $1231

Looking for $1000 since you can’t even buy one of this quality. They are all completely sold out everywhere.

New in box. Never installed, never unpackaged. All original packaging.

Compressor was below a bunch of stuff so I didn’t get the pic. It’s included.

Also, it’s me. Chotu. So you know it’s not a scam.

Isotherm Compact 2013 14.1 cf Fridge or 4.7 cf Freezer Cooling Unit

Isotherm Compact Air Cooled Marine Refrigeration Systems use air which is blown through the condenser by a fan as the traditional way to remove heat from a refrigerator or freezer. Air cooled systems are the most economical and easiest to install. All Isotherm Compact Systems come complete and pre-charged. Each system is rated to refrigerate or freeze a specific volume so there's no guessing for what will work best for your boat! Systems range from 2 to 21 cubic feet.

Installation is easy: simply mount the evaporator high in the box, connect the pre-charged plate and compressor, and connect power. Converting your old ice box into a modern refrigerator has never easier.

Ventilation is the key to good refrigeration: It is important that the compressor compartment is well ventilated allowing cool air to enter from below and warm air to escape at the top. Once installed, the age-old hassle of hauling ice will be over! Isotherm specializes in dependable, energy-efficient systems which are backed by the exclusive Isotherm 5-year warranty on all compressors so you'll have the confidence of knowing you have purchased the best!

Oh yeah. Make offers or whatever also. Reasonable ones. Before I put it up on Facebook marketplace. It’s here first.

Re: Isotherm Mod 2013 With Danfoss BD50 Compressor (NEW IN BOX)

Here’s an idea!

I’ll sell this at auction instead.

Post up your offer here in the thread. In 7 days, the auction will close and the highest bidder gets it.

Bidding starts at $1

Note: Mod 2013. Is the model number, not the date of manufacture. If you can’t use that shape evaporator, buy it for the Danfoss compressor and plug a different evaporator in.

OK- I'll open the bidding.

$2.00 & I can pick up in about a month.

(Come on - it's 200% of the minimum. lol)

Somebody has to want this & can make a real offer.

Re: Isotherm Mod 2013 With Danfoss BD50 Compressor (NEW IN BOX)

Chotu,
A couple of questions to provide clarity of your item for sale.

1. Can the evaporator plate be bend to fit different size/shape boxes? Didn't see it online, but most manufactures have instructions on how and where to bend the plate. Did this come with any such instructions so someone would know what size box they could fit it in?

2. The thermostat in your pic appears to be a mechanical one and they are typically either for fridge or freezer range temps. Is it truly dual?? (an electronic thermostat can easily/inexpensively be added to make it digital and handle all temp ranges).

This would be a great deal for anyone setting up a fridge or freezer, especially at the current price of $3.00 (yes I will up the bid to $3)

Hi BillO.

This item is brand new and still in the box. I have never opened it. I have never owned one either. So I unfortunately don’t know the answers to those questions.

It’s a little different when you are selling a used item. Because you have experience with it. I have never even seen with this looks like. Just peeled back to box enough to verify it’s OK with no damage.

Should I be opening the box?

I feel like there is more value in not opening the box. Maybe I’m thinking of Star Wars collectors items or something. Ha ha

Just thought it might sell better if a potential buyer knew how they could bend the panel to fit their needs/box size.

Re: Isotherm Mod 2013 With Danfoss BD50 Compressor (NEW IN BOX)

I have a similar evaporator plate from Adler Barbour. They are intended to be bent to fit your space. That is what I did. The bend is done around a three or four inch diameter pipe. It is done slowly and carefully - it must not be kinked.

This is the same plate that is used to make a freezer box inside of a refrigerator just not factory bent. Of course they charge twice as much for it not bent.

Thank you! I did not know this. I was thinking it had to fit some really weird shaped refrigerator and freezer. Ha ha. Good news that it can be bent.

I thought it was strange that it came as one long piece like that.

Thank you for letting everyone know. I had no idea. I’m not familiar with these isotherm units at all. Other than knowing that it’s a good Danfoss compressor.

Re: Isotherm Mod 2013 With Danfoss BD50 Compressor (NEW IN BOX)

Bending these evaporators is easy; just keep in mind it can only bend in certain areas (you can see them clearly) and you want to heat it with a heatgun to prevent the paint cracking. Put a pvc pipes on the table, drape a towel over it, then heat the plate, put it on the pipe and push one end down around the pipe to form the bend.
