KISS wind turbine and complete kit.

I have decided to sell my KISS wind generator and all the associated kit.
It was mounted high on my mast on a very strong bracket, which will fit most mast widths.
Included:
Kiss generator with five blades, (two spare).
Mast mounting bracket with 360 degree swivel.
Control box and on, off switch.
About 70’ feet of mast wire.
Blade balancing mandrel.
The mast bracket will be easy to convert to an aft pole arrangement.
The front and rear bearings need replacing, so I will sell it as is, or in a repaired condition, (when I get it fixed). So this complete kit will be worth more to some people than others. I am therefore open to offers.
It is presently in Orlando, Florida, and quite heavy and bulky, so shipping must be at the buyer’s cost.

I thought I explained clearly enough that I was looking for offers, either as it is now, (in pieces), or fully repaired with new parts. There will be a difference.
I also don't want to negotiate here. Please use my direct e-mail.

Re: KISS wind turbine and complete kit.

If you want to get the most out of your Kiss, take a look at the Kiss Extractor™.
-Greater output at low wind speeds.
-Automatic stop and start of wind generator, keeping the batteries properly charged.
-Anticipation circuit that stops the Kiss before it overheats.

Re: KISS wind turbine and complete kit.

I see that you have a nose cone, unless the angle was just perfect to make the 3rd blade look like a nose cone.

Those are quite recent, and also quite rare.

Recent builds had through-bolts for the nose section. The fact that you say it needs new bearings, however, suggests that it's quite old (I've replaced mine a grand total of once, and that was only because they sat in water for over a year during a yard refit, and my stupidity resulting in that outcome). Here's the story on that rebuild: Pictures: Flying Pig 2011-2012 Refit/Last Minute Stuff/Kiss Wind Generator Rebuild

They are the ultimate in self-serviceable, and the bearings are all of about $10.

Newer versions' stators are machine wound and therefore somewhat more efficient than the originals which were hand wound.

New blades vs the originals are more efficient as well, but either way, absolute anal attention to balancing (with OP's included mandrel, and a totally windless area to work in) will assure the quietest operation (ours merely is a whiiiiiish at 20 plus knots); the newer housings incorporate aluminum and are better at shedding heat and can generate, safely, as much as 50A, with higher cutout thermostats.

We also have the extractor, but because we also have a very serious solar setup, we often get into the auto-shutdown controller range (it can be set to stop at 13.5 or 14.2 V so as to not overcharge, but not need a diversion load as the typical charge controller will require).

Older versions also were direct wired, with an optional slip ring available; new ones were all slip rings, making service much easier (no cutting and remaking connections on the wiring).

So, what is it you have? Original model, but with a nose cone? The latest model before KISS was sold to CruiseRO/Technautics? Somewhere in between? It would seriously affect the value.

More info is needed for you to get an appropriate value, unless you're just trying to dump it to make space for whatever else...
