Re: Kiwiprop

Is the 30mm the same as 1 1/8th, or is that a totally separate shaft? Can this prop spin Left Hand as well?

Re: Kiwiprop

you can use a kiwiprop on a saildrive - I do, and its way better than the original 2 blade folder...

Re: Kiwiprop

Company = North Sails.
Material 1.5 oz nylon
I - 44.75'
J - 13.91'
Area = 707 sq ft
Sheets & tack line = Dacron

the prop is made right hand variable pitch.
When reversed the pitch is set at degrees which for a sail drive would be too steep. A conventional transmission has a higher ratio in reverse thus a sail drive with same ratio in forward or reverse would made it "over proped". Kiwiprop does come in a sail drive version also left hand models. The Jeanneau 409 came with a Flex-a-fold prop plus I did not research shaft size
The shaft size is metric since Beneteau was designed in Europe but actually assembled in USA. Most parts are sourced from Europe and shipped here.
I am not sure of the compatibility of the metric vs. English sizes and taper.

Re: Kiwiprop

The forward pitch is set for the 39 hp Yanmar 3JH4. There is a set screw that is adjustable.

Re: Kiwiprop

The radius is 8" to 9" since the edge of the rectangular blade is slanted.
Also the metric sized shafts have a IOS taper while the English shafts have a SAE taper. Go to Kiwiprop site for details.

No. Metric and SAE shaft diameters are not the same and props and anodes etc., are not interchangeable one to another.
