I would buy this as a spare- but I think the L&S linear drive systems are so well engineered that they are almost impervious to failure. I have the 50st on my boat- rock solid and reliable kit. Quiet, powerful, smooth. Couldn’t ask for better. There’s a reason they are A- so damn expensive and B- found on the majority of all single handed racing boats!
