Lowrance Structure Scan

Thanks In Advance

I am interested in using a Lowrance Structure Scan Transducer form a transom trolling unit .....as an external through hull transducer mounting instead.

It will require waterproofing modifications .
The through hull units cost a lot more that a transom mounted unit.

Any feed back that could help would be great....

Re: Lowrance Structure Scan

Yea I did that with an older type transducer from an LMS 337 thru an FRP hull.I actually cut original plastic fitting open & removed transducer ( I'm no electronics expert) & then epoxied into a 2" tank skin fitting. Put boat on grid & drilled out with holesaw & put skin fitting in with 4200 . Worked good. But if you dont want to cut transducer open I'm sure you can cut a hole shaped like the neck in yr hull & do a similar thing using epoxy glass if you prefer.

Re: Lowrance Structure Scan

So would you also be able to mount a TotalScan Transducer left/right to get forward scanning ???

...Possibly have two through hull transducers. One on the port bow and the other on the starboard bow. One facing left / right and the other one facing up / down. ???
