Mounting brackets for ICOM M801

Hi,

I'm looking for the U-formed brackets M81 and M82.

It's for the speaker (SP-24) and control head (RC-25), for the ICOM M801 or M802.

Thanks but they are for flush mount. The ones I'm looking for is for separate free standing mount.

Try this, maybe buy 2 and if you need wider for control head cut it down the middle and space 2" apart.

I'd send you mine after it's installed but right now I'm bench testing it and the new boat has not been purchased yet....

Re: Mounting brackets for ICOM M801

Hi:
I am using them for now, but after this silliness with CIVID is settled down a bit I'll be buying my next boat and doing a panel mounting and the brackets will become surplus.

Keep my user name and get back to me after the crisis is over and I can fly again.

Re: Mounting brackets for ICOM M801

If it were me, I would just bend up a couple brackets out of sheet metal. I could wip up a couple of those for you, but the postage is likely more than the cost of getting it done locally. Do you have the knobs?

Re: Mounting brackets for ICOM M801

Yes, I have the knobs. And I did just that, made my own brackets out of stainless sheet metal. But they don’t have the original dimples, and the control unit wants to turn when I push the keys no matter how hard I tighten the knobs. Actually, I tightened one so hard I pulled one of the threaded brass bushings.

That’s why I’m looking for the original brackets.

Re: Mounting brackets for ICOM M801

O.K..... glue the threaded insert back in and make a thin rubber washer about 1" around.... that should help stop the rotation....

Offer is still open if no one else has a pair for you. Hard to imagine given the number of panel installs.

It's OK, I can live with this until I get the original brackets.
