I am looking for a used main boom for an HR41. i am in florida now, by port charlotte. Any used part retailers in the area, or a place I can find scrap boats to look though?

How about michigan?

Anybody have one?

I need 16'ish. I have seen your boom. Is it set up for reef lines? I'm not sure how I would get it from virginia. Local pick up is difficult.

I shipped a boom using freight quote . Com. Relatively inexpensive and made it from Carolinas to Texas in about three days. The above website is a LTL broker, so the boom would go on a truck, just needs to be packaged with enough padding.

Hi, CaptVR here.
Dons Surplus and Salvage 727-576-8577, in Clearwater, Fl. (St.Petersberg). They have 20 acres and 4-5 buildings the size of Sailor Mans. They probably have 100 mast and the same in booms. Some like new and some not so much. All used. Normally great prices (haggle a little). The more you spend the more they will haggle...
Been dealing with them for a couple decades, great guys. Give them a call.

My apologies as I am on the phone and dictation errors will no doubt creep in.

What he said, in spades. Now third generation owners, and walking the yard is a real trip!

You can call them and ask them specifically for the part that you need. But if you have the opportunity to go there, you will enjoy the trip.

Bring your wallet, however, as you're bound to find something else interesting!

Tell Billy and Billy Jr that Flying Pig says hello!

Re: Need a boom. used sailboat parts in flordia or michigan?

I am in Pensacola, Fl and recently had a hurricane blow thru and take out many boats. We have a company called Southern Cross that houses plenty of parts from demolished boats. They have several masts over 50' and several booms. They like to negotiate. Or at least I negotiate with them. Bot, 5.5kw genset for $600, sea worthy watermaker for $400. New sail for a 40' cat for $600. Give him a call. Southern cross boat supply. BTW, my boat is fine (few scratches) but water maker and genset are perfect.
