Just a added note that I am not able to verify that that this heater works 100% so it's being sold as is,

Re: Newport Dickinson Diesel Cabin Heater

These are great little heaters when they work. I have one and love it. Got it for a song at $200 but put over $700 into stove pipe, over-heat shut-off valve, heatex heat exchanger, barometric damper and fuel pump. LOL.

Yours, if in good shape, is a good deal at 450 since I see stove pipe, charlie noble, and fuel pump with it. Buyer will still probably want heatex heat exchanger which does a great job pulling more heat off the stack than the heater itself puts out...as well as overheat shut-off and barometric damper.

The fuel metering valve, the fan, and the burn pot parts are important. If you take the flame spreader out and the ring around the fuel pot and take a pic that will show some indication of age and use. The community here might appreciate those pics.

Otherwise, if you wanted to show it worked, it is really not much effort to hose-clamp a flex line to the metering valve supply/return lines going to a jug with some diesel fuel to gravity feed. Set it up in your drive way and it will run w/o the fan. If you want, hook up the fan to a 12V battery and it will startup easier. If you're not willing to burn it, you might wish to at least hook up the 12V battery and see if the fan works. The fan is a common failed item on these it seems. So is the metering valve if the stove has been over heated.

PS if you don't know the age, include the serial number (on the front next to the metering valve) with your ad and people can contact the Dickinson company to find out how old it is.
