For sale in Australia (North Qld) I've got a never installed, never used Octopus linear drive model OCTAF1212LAM12. This is the 12V DC, 12" stroke unit with the pump mounted directly to the ram. The manufacturer's information is here: OCTAF1212LAM12 | Octopus Autopilot Drive Systems

I purchased it to install on my boat, but it was just a bit to big to fit the space so I've brought the smaller 7" remote model to replace it. This unit is in perfect working condition. I'm happy to ship anywhere in Aus at buyer's expense.

Hi. Short story: it could be. Long story is that the 7" sale fell through in the end after it went missing during delivery so I was planning on making the decision on whether to adapt this unit or chase up another smaller unit shortly.

Whereabouts are you located?

We're in Albany, but i managed to get our working again yesterday (solenoid wires were connected poorly) so i won't have to replace it

hope your refit goes well, they are a good system

No worries. I'm still miffed the 7" unit fell through but I'm hoping I can shoehorn this one in. Worst case I can get the ram shortened by a machine shop or order a replacement cylinder from octopus I guess.

Hydrive in SA do a pretty good range of rams. We've got the Admiral series, all marine grade bronze and stainless.

Hi guys. If you, or anyone else is still interested in this drive it's definitely available now. Managed to grab hold of another unit that better fits my requirements, and fitting space, a lot better.
