PlasTEAK Lumber

I have 60 linear feet of PlasTEAK synthetic teak boards, 2x4 size measures 1-1/2” x 3-1/2”. Five 5 footers and five 7 footers. I have a baggie full of matching bungs as well. Retail is over $300 and shipping will be expensive. Available in Ocala FL. $150 or near offer

Does this material look like teak when ripped or is the teak look just a coating?

I was thinking the same thing, it looks like this COULD be resawn into a useable thickness of ~3/4”, slightly less actually.

I'm thinking the grain is molded in and it would look like sawn plastic if you ripped it. I'm wondering where you would use 1 1/2"x 3 1/2" on a boat?

It was originally purchased by a prior owner to replace a rubrail on a project boat that passed thru my shop. Plan was to rip it in half and have a 1-3/4" deep by 1-1/2" wide strake. I took a different approach to the rubrail replacement.
