R12 refrigerant

I believe in recycling and doing the right thing so I’m putting this out there....
I have a fellow boater friend that has about 15lbs remaining in a 30lb tank of original R12 refrigerant and I know there are some boats still using this.
If anyone is interested.....contact me

I’m not looking for money, if someone is interested they can make arrangements (pay for shipping if required) but the item is located in Victoria BC

Re: R12 refrigerant

FYI, back in 2012 I had a unused bottle of R12 refrigerant. I went to an automobile/truck air-conditioning/freezer repair shop in Greater Vancouver and they happily took the bottle.

Re: R12 refrigerant

Thanks for the input....I’m confident I can recycle/dispose of it correctly....but thought if someone had an older system and needed it ....I’d be happy to offer it

Re: R12 refrigerant

We had some left over R12. We found a professional company out of Chicago Refrigerantfinders.com that purchases R12. They came from Chicago to South Florida and picked it up and paid us 15$/lb cash.

Re: R12 refrigerant

I’ve found a bit of that information through internet research....although I doubt any company from the South would come to Canada, give me money and make it past the border! Lol!!
No company up here does the same.....and my intention really is to offer it up to someone in need...
Cheers though!

You make a good point there though, probably not something you want to ship outside Canada as I'm guessing there are some pretty strict rules when importing it anywhere.
