Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

I am in need off Navionics chart cards for my plotter. I understand that as of the end of this year Navionics will be halting any updates for these cards. I am specifically looking for Adriatic, Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean, Mexico, and the East coast USA. Not to much, LOL Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

I was just about to post a for sale of a New, never installed Navionics+ CF card.

This is the Global Regions card you can pick what you want to down load. See the pics. I purchased new in Apr 2016 for $243.00 and I think you get free updates after you initialize the card for the first time, But haven't confirmed this.

I am Asking $200.00 with free shipping in the USA by USPS

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

That sounds great. These are questions from some one who is learning.. Can you please elaborate a little more about the card. My plotter doesn't have thumb drive ports. can i download the cad from a laptop? I am currently in Croatia sailing, and will be back in North Carolina 11/4. Are you certain it will fit my E80? If so I will definitely buy it. Thanks,Ben

Hi Ben,
Yes this card will fit the older Classic E80. I bought it for my Classic C80 but then got a deal on a newer MFD that uses the SD card.

How it works is you use the included USB adapter to initialize and update the card online with a computer. Then you just plug it into your E80 and turn it on and it will provide updated carts and firmware. You can choose online what global charts you want on the card.

I listed it yesterday on the Forum to all members but if you think you want it I will cancel that until you get back to the US.
Thanks Jim

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

Be aware that the E80 has a 2gb limit on the size of the SD card. I tried a 16gb card and it would not read it. Fortunately Navioncis has an app which can let you load only the data you need. I got all of the charts for the Carib and South America on a 2gb card, but no satellite images.

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

Hi Escorte, These cards are CF cards,(compact flash). You can purchase them cheap on Amazon or any electronics store. Then go to Navionics website to buy the card plotter thumbdrive. It costs around $200 US. That will allow you the custom download any charts you want. There are people here in Croatia that will also do this for you, but it can get pricey. Hope that helps

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

Also note the E80 cannot accept CF cards of more than 2GB. I learned this the hard way. I did use the Navionics load software to successfuly download maps to a 2GB card.

Re: Raymarine E80 chart Plotter Cards

OK, Pitchondesign, thanks for the info
Did you use standard 2Gb CF cards once you downloaded the maps, or you needed to use special Navionics CF cards?
