Raymarine EVO-100 Autopilot

Hi all! Looking to buy a used Raymarine EVO 100 system in good nick, with/without the wheel drive unit (I have my old Autohelm drive unit which works OK). Alternatively, if you have one of the old Autohelm 4000 (integrated box) or ST4000 (with the fluxgate and connector units), I would also be interested. The latter are ancient technology, I know, but I love the gadgets! Thanks.

Re: Raymarine EVO-100 Autopilot

its unusual for a working autopilot to go on a used market. Most of them get replaced once they break. You can try ebay and assemble one from parts sold separately. Although a new Wheel EV 100 is much less than any other alternative (except maybe for CPT)

Pypilot…. I’m upgrading my Benmar system right now. You can use your old motor assembly. My old Benmar just steered a magnetic course. The Pypilot will do a magnetic course, course relative to wind vane and connect with WiFi to Openplotter and steer to waypoints and routes. You can even set it all up with an old Amazon reader for an instrument display using WiFi. Comes with a wireless remote. I got a second one to put on a old autohelm tiller pilot to use on my wind vane. https://pypilot.org/

Re: Raymarine EVO-100 Autopilot

If you have a working drive unit it is a good candidate for pypilot electronics. This gives a gyro pilot with good performance and many more features than anything raymarine offers.

Re: Raymarine EVO-100 Autopilot

Get yourself an used CPT autopilot and you'll never have to worry about pilot going south when you need it
