Raymarine Lighthouse NC2

I ordered a update for my Raymarine Dragonfly 7 chart plotter. I assumed the Lighthouse NC2 "Electronic Navigational Chart" (North America) was what I needed. The Raymarine site ad wasn't specific about what this chip worked with and when I installed it on the front end of a 4 day trip, I discovered my chart plotter had maps but no water depth. I re-installed my old chip and made the trip.

I called Raymarine when I completed the trip and was told the Lighthouse NC2 chip wouldn't work on my chart plotter (you think?). They weren't interested in my returning the once used chip and basically said "grin and bear it".

The packaging states "Simply Superior" but I found it less than Simply Superior.

Anyway, if you can use this chip, it's available and up to date as of July, 2020. I have no idea what this works with but know it doesn't work with their Dragonfly 7 plotter.

Re: Raymarine Lighthouse NC2

I’m sorry for your loss. It’s disappointing that Raymarine won’t make this right.
It looks like the chip will work with my Axiom unit. Let me know what you’d like for it.
Thanks,

Re: Raymarine Lighthouse NC2

The chip arrived yesterday. We were able to test and it works well.
Thank you again,

Re: Raymarine Lighthouse NC2

Hi Ray,
I’m glad it worked out for you.

You would think Raymarine would have a bit more customer support.
It would help avoid some confusion if their marketing department would simply list in the ad what their product
works with and what it doesn’t work with. I guess when you
are as big as they are, individual product satisfaction isn’t a issue.
