The Reliable Barracuda 2000U33 is a low-cost, mid-quality alternative to the Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1. This machine was made in Taiwan, has a walking foot, does straight-line and zig-zag stitching, and comes with the monster wheel. It has worked very well for me for about seven years. It is in good condition, with many years of life left. It does NOT have a case--I built a storage locker for it on my boat.



Current retail price for the Barracuda is $499, plus $109 for the monster wheel. Many retailers have these on backorder. Offers near $400 will take it, with pickup in Beaufort SC, or you pay the shipping.

It has a cheap plastic base it came with for support. I made this demountable table for it. Easy and cheap to build, and very sturdy

Excuse me, is that a Sailrite under the table or just the way the light is reflecting off of the Barracuda??

The machine under the table is indeed a Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ (not the Barracuda). I got the Sailrite as a 'bargain', virtually unused but it was completely jammed up. Sailrite came to the rescue--great company btw. We figured out the problem--a connection between connecting rod and bottom shaft jammed when a nut came loose. Catastrophic as other parts bent or went out of alignment. A week of adjustments after watching Sailrite's great videos, and the machine was running again.

I have the same sewing machine. I love it!!!! Big flywheel makes the difference. Had huge issues with sailrite on my LSZ, so I returned LSZ and bought the Barracuda.
