Sinopoly LifePo4 Lithium Ion Batteries 200AH

After reading the LifePo4 discussion on this site for a year, I assembled a 12 cell 600AH bank using 200AH Sinopoly batteries. I took the time to balance them individually then in parallel for four weeks. These were purchased as NOS and have not been put through a complete cycle, so should have the estimated 2000-3000 cycles left.

In the process, we have purchased a newer sailboat, and it has 8 brand new Lifeline 31-XTs at a cost of almost $3k, with four separate solar charge controllers. It does not make sense to replace those and the solar controllers with my LifePo4 bank.

We are putting our current boat in a charter fleet, and they want SLAs on the boat, so I am selling the LifePo4s.

If purchased as a set, I will include the balancers, copper bus bars, and custom aluminum frame and compression package. Cost for entire set is $2,000 plus shipping.

I think you just might! Yeah, that's less than what I have in them. I purchased them from a company that was working with a California university on an electric car project, but had about 40 of these batteries that were not used. I was really looking forward to seeing how they acted in real life use, after having spent so much time reading everyone's input and success stories.

O yes these batteries are awesome ours have been in use for over three years steady . No noticeable loss of capacity . I will never have lead on the again ! Hmmm maybe I could use a second bank

Ooh, that is intriguing. What are the dimensions of the aluminum frame? And do you have any idea what shipping might cost to Maryland?

Re: Sinopoly LifePo4 Lithium Ion Batteries 200AH

The actual size is around 18" x 16". Including the all-thread that is used to compress, it may be around 21" long. I used 3/4 x 6" oak attached to the aluminum to make the battery box.

The batteries themselves are are about 16.25" by 14.25".

The think the frame is around 24" x 16". I fiberglassed some tabs on to some stringers, and suspended the span. The alumuinum is 3" structural angle. I am 225 lbs and I stood on the span with no flex. I think the batteries are right around 150lbs, so 75 lbs for each box. I would use that figure for shipping.

I received the batteries in an oversized box filled with some type of material used to ship batteries, approved by fedex. I will use the same material in two shipments of six batteries each, and will ship the frame and all other components in a separate box.

I also have a still in box/never installed Freedom 3012 3000 watt inverter 150 amp battery charger and corresponding battery monitor that can be programmed to charge the lithiums at the appropriate voltages.

Re: Sinopoly LifePo4 Lithium Ion Batteries 200AH

The batteries are 11" tall. If used, the aluminum would add another 1/4". I am not at the boat, but the copper battery connectors arch probably about 1/2" at the height of the arc. With bars, washers, lock washers and balancers on the terminal, I would think about 12-12.5" tall.

By “balancers” do you mean BMS probes? Regardless, I am very interested. Could you give me a shipping estimate to zip code 33426. I have access to a loading dock and forklift for freight shipments.

Regards,
David.
