For Sale: Spectra Newport 400 Watermaker

Selling our Newport 400 water maker. This unit/system is currently installed on our boat and is available for demonstration. We used this unit all last season in the Bahamas. We are changing to a 110 V unit/system.

Water production last season was down to 10-12 gals an hour with full feed pump flow indicating a possible membrane issue or clark pump issue. The membrane is 5 years old so probably needs replacing and the clark pump might need new seals (a diy job) but most likely a new membrane will bring the production back to 14-16 gals an hour. The system is 10 years old and with a little maintenance can easily go for another 10.

This is an older (reflected in the price) top of the line DC water maker system. Asking price is $2,000 OBO.

I'm interested, where's your boat located?
We've been thinking about a water maker for some time, but are not ready to cast off for a couple of years. Still doing month long cruises though and it would provide freedom
