So, I fired up the stove using a 1.5 gallon pressurized pesticide container. I just siphoned some old kerosene out of a salamander heater. Old fuel and not the best quality. Top two burners preheated with alchohol and then burned when the kerosene valve was opened. The bottom oven burner valve handle is frozen shut so I wasn't able to test it. It obviously needs some attention.

These are wonderful cookers. I have one in each boat and a 2 burner unit in my hunting cabin.

The real fun is laying in a mooring listening to the radio net of people seeking propane, knowing you have years supply of kero aboard.
