For Sale: Used Westerbeke 50 diesel engine

Westerbeke 50 sail boat diesel engine (42 hp @ 3200 rpm) removed from my Tartan 37. Engine runs very well, no smoke, minor oil leakage for a W50. Ran for over 100 hours this last season,. Oil loss measured via dip stick was imperceptible. Have owned it for over 15 years Has been very reliable. Had fuel injectors rebuilt about 5 years ago, and replaced its mechanical lift pump about 2 years ago. Comes with control panel, Hurst 2:1 transmission, and 100 amp alternator. Is on pallet. Available for local pickup, or I can transport to shipper.

Asking $1,000 USD or any reasonable offer.

Where are you located and how many hours on the engine

I'm located in Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Not sure about the engine hours. Original hour gage was not operable when I purchased the boat 13 years ago. Since I've owned it I put on 1911 hours.

I also have a Westerbeke W50 (BMC 1.8) that ran when put in storage ten years ago. I'd like to sell it cheap to get it out of the way, I don't know if it will run now or not and would be selling it for parts. I'm in midcoast Maine if anyone's interested. I also have Bukh 20 and a Perkins 4-108 that can go cheap as well.

how much for your bukh 20? what block was used?
