Have an SD120C, 2.24:1, S/n 3101057922, in good condition, tested, shifts forward and reverse, no noise, no apparent leaks, loaded by holding engaged prop shaft with wooden pincher apparatus. Video is available. 600.00 USD, FOB Slidell. Includes new inner boot clamping ring, boot is in good shape with no tears. Can crate it if interested.

Re: Volvo 120S saildrive

What looks like damage shows in the picture aft under the rubber hull seal. Can you send me a picture of the area? What boat did it come out of and about how many hours does it have on it? The main shaft to the engine is a weak point and can be stripped. How are the splines?

Re: Volvo 120S saildrive

Not damage at all, some kind of discoloration on the paint, likely from oysters growing on it. The picture may be unclear, but there is no corrosion of the aluminum housing at all. Have no idea what kind of boat it came out of; I bought it along with a spare MD2020 that fit my boat. The input shaft appears to have about half it's life left, you'll have to make the call on that based on the pictures. There is an off the shelf fix for that that is easily found on the internet, if you can't find it, I'll look for it later.

Re: Volvo 120S saildrive

I was able to look at it today VP 120SF 2483856 Came off of my Lagoon 380 unknown hours but only about 6 years old. I ended up re powering and sold the other engines and sail drive have this one left. In pieces as the top retainer clip broke but easily rebuildable.
300 USD you arrange the shipping from Vancouver BC Canada
