Want To Buy: Volvo exhaust riser

Hi All,
Am looking to buy a Volvo Penta 3 exhaust riser that will fit a 1989 diesel.
Am at the last of engine repairs for a Dufour 31..This, obviously is critical.

I’ll take a wild guess and say that you have a 2002 or 2003 engine, as that was the current product in 1989, and as it’s only a 31 foot boat you don’t have a 2003T (turbo) engine.

If so, there is a company that produces a stainless steel exhaust elbow which fits the 2001,2002, and 2003, but not the turbo version. This company is called HDI marine and you can find the elbow they make from several sources on the internet. And the price is good....


One thing....you state you need an exhaust “riser”. Volvo Penta made an exhaust riser for these engines which was basically a square block which was installed beneath the standard exhaust elbow and lifted the elbow about 2”. If indeed you need a “riser” this will have to come from VP.
