1991 Clean Freshwater cooled and lives in freshwater. 3 cylinder diesel, 28hp. (Volvo Penta 2003 S/N 2300042327). RUNNING (aprox 1300hrs)! New ss exhaust mixing elbow, freshwater cooled heat exchanger, Balmar 105 amp alternator, new motor mounts, reconditioned cylinder head, 7° down angle transmission Model#MS2B_852715_237 (Ser# 3101035391)

Compression test results before replacing head gasket and re-build of cylinder head:
VOLVO: spec at Starter motor speed 284>355 RANGE
Spec of ratio> 17.5:1
06/2018. Test w/Starter motor, 5 second run.
#1 Dry>325, Wet >410
#2 Dry>325, Wet >370
#3 Dry>340, Wet >390
Scoring found on #2 aft cylinder near top 1/4, honed mostly out.

The engine is still in the boat and running. This Saturday I'll do our Chicago river trip (about 6 hours of motoring under this engines' power). I hope to have the boatyard pull the engine by Nov 01.

Actually, the engine was sold with out the alternator & regulator. That is still available for SALE! The double pulley on the crank was for a engine mounted cold plate compressor. The Balmar fit right on with out any alterations. Balmar MC612 regulator, 712 series alternator (110AMP HI-OUTPUT ALTERNATOR).
