Wanted: Ground Tackle

Hi Guys, i am in St Simons Island, Ga.

In the next month I need to round up three or four large danforths, or Fortress fx 23 or 37, or similar large hooks, chain and heavy rode. Whatever I can afford.

Need to anchor in a tidal creek with no room to swing. 36' sailing cat.

Thanks!

Got a car or a friend with one?
Take a road trip to Sailors Exchange in St. Augustine.

Great idea for an anchor. Don't have to worry about resetting.

Holy crap. All this time wondering how to put a permanent mooring Down and damn that's a great idea. Any one with a large jump available or a barge in the keys?

Re: Wanted: Ground Tackle

30 years ago in the Keys we would routinely drop old engine blocks for a mooring. That would probably get you jail time these days...

I like the looks of those screw type anchors Spade Anchors makes. Has anyone tried them? Pricey though. hmmmm...
