Want To Buy: Wanted - Universal M25XP Engine Parts

Hi,

I’m looking for the following parts (used preferably) for a Universal M25XP engine from a 1990 Catalina 30:

Universal Part# 300286 - front right engine mount bracket
Universal Part# 300284 - front left engine mount bracket
Universal Part# 200365 - flywheel housing kit (bell housing)

Let me know if you have any of these, or if you have any recommendations on where else to search.

Your M25XP is a Kubota D950. The D950 is the same block as the D850 aka the Universal M25 so all the parts you need can be sourced from the M25 as well as M25XP. All Kubota did was bore out the 850. So you can widen your search a bit for used parts.

Not sure if Betamarine used either of those engines in the past so maybe a call to Betamarine in NC could help. I'm not certain, but I would guess that Kubota didn't change the mounting bolt patterns on there subsequent Mini or Super 50 series engines. Betamarine might be able to answer that question.

I've had good luck sourcing bellhousings from Hayes Manufacturing in Michigan. But they call them engine housings, go figure. Lots of terminology in the engine housing world to know and you could wind up needing a new gearbox adapter plate.

The Kubota D950 was not often used in tractors but I believe it was used in the Kubota B7200 & B8200. Might be a source of motor mounts?

Lastly, the motor mounts can easily be fabricated by any competent metal fabricator but you will need to give them the dimensions and specs. And a picture is worth a lot too.

I've rebuilt most of the engine using Kubota parts. The universal bellhousing for the M25xp has a recess for the heat exchanger and the rear mount brackets, so trying to avoid reconfiguring that if possible. I'll check your recommendations and see if I have any luck.

For the mounts, I had the same thought of fabricating if i couldn't find some reasonably-priced used ones.

Hayes make some of their bell housings with rear mount brackets and you can mount that cylindrical heat exchanger anywhere in the engine space...but just remembered you have a C30 so engine space is very limited.

I used the Universal/Westerbeke bell housing on my recent D850 marinization project. The HX recess was not a problem and I think you need the incorporated rear engines mounts. I made my own front mounts, just big angle aluminum with appropriate holes drilled.

Hello - I have a bellhousing [ and many other parts ] from a Universal M25 engine, which is a D850 Kubota diesel. It is ready to mount a Hurth / ZF, Twin Disc, or PRM transmission. $350 for the bellhousing. I can also quote used Hurth / ZF transmissions, or new Twin Disc or PRM, with factory warranty. Joe

Hello - sorry for the slow response, I have been feeling under the weather lately. I have a bellhousing that was removed from a Universal M25, which is a Kubota D850 engine. It will accept several different makes and types of transmissions. A partial list follows.

HBW 50, 100, 125, 150, 150 vee drive

ZF 5, 10, 12, 15, 15 Vee drive

Twin Disc M340, 360, 360A

Technodrive 40, 60, 60A [downangle type]

PRM 60, 90, 125

I can supply any of the above transmissions, and the correct drive/damper plate, please contact me for details. Joe
