Watermaker

PowerSurvivor 160E 12 VDC energy recover watermaker. ‘$1950.00 + shipping OBO
Per the manufacturer specs. 6.7 gal/hr +/- 15% using 16 to 21 amps. We constantly run on the upper end of this spec and have used the unit full time over the last 6 months. No leaks or problems and the unit is currently pickled.
This is an older unit but was first commissioned in 2019. A new Dow SW 2521 was installed at that time. The watermaker comes with the hoses and equipment that came originally with the unit. Hoses, valves, pump, motor, pressure vessel, 3 way valves, pre-filter unit, filter wrench. See photos. The watermaker is currently installed in case someone wants to see operation. If interested I can have it ready to ship in a couple days.

Re: Watermaker

Does it need a separate raw water boost/feed pump?

Thanks for the bump.

A boost pump isn’t needed with this watermaker. It’s one of the ways the design keeps amperage draw reasonably low. There are references to this in the linked manual that does a better job of explaining the +/- of not having feed pump.
