Westerbeke 46 Exhaust Mixing Elbow Needed

It's time to replace the aluminum exhaust mixing elbow on our Westerbeke 46 (1988 vintage) and thought we check here first...before buying one directly from Westerbeke.com for $220. Yikes.

Original part number was 015985, but has now been discontinued/changed to 033067. We don't necessarily need brand new, but since these do wear out, good to excellent condition is prefered.

Part will need to be shipped to Oregon at our expense, unless you happen to have a spare one on your boat near Barra Navidad or Puerto Valarta Mexico, which we will happily take off your hands for coconuts.

Thanks!

Re: Westerbeke 46 Exhaust Mixing Elbow Needed

If you have a machine shop near you, they can fab one right?

The one on our Westerbeke went out and that's what we had done. Of course, our original looked fabricated so we just replaced like for like, but I'm guessing what came with the engine was something cast like yours and a previous owner had something made.

Re: Westerbeke 46 Exhaust Mixing Elbow Needed

My W46 needed a higher rise than the factory part allowed. I used the threaded flange adaptor and assembled one from galvanised pipe fittings, one size larger to compensate for the elbow. Supported the drop hose to the water box from the underside of the cockpit on floating support strap. Now in it's 12th year.
